Remick Gallery

The Remick Gallery was dedicated to the celebration, promotion and cultivation of the human creative instinct, this galllery is a living memorial to Robert Remick, who conceived its creation, contributed generously to its construction and whose  gentlemanly presence will always be felt within its walls.

Reflections of a Dream

The current exhibit in the Remick Gallery features 30 works of art by Mexican artist Rosa Maria Cerda Rodriguez who moved to Windom in 2015.  She is a self taught artist who has participated in several painting exhibitions in Michoacan, Mexico.  The love of painting was the best inheritance her parent could give her.  Her artist statement of this show "Ever since I was a little girl I liked to draw everything.  Especially artwork with colored pencils which were always adorning the walls of my bedroom.  At the age of 18, I made my first oil painting.  Painting for me is fantastic; it's like being in a sphere, disconnected from the whole world to connect with myself.  Time flies when I am painting.  I usually paint images of photographs that I took myself.  Every painting I do is a challenge for me."  The show runs from September 16 to November 17th.   Most paintings are for sale so stop by to take a look!
