Remick Gallery

The Remick Gallery was dedicated to the celebration, promotion and cultivation of the human creative instinct, this galllery is a living memorial to Robert Remick, who conceived its creation, contributed generously to its construction and whose  gentlemanly presence will always be felt within its walls.

Tales of a Ghost Town

The exhibit features over 25 works of art by Joanne Alberda from Sioux Center, Iowa.  Using hand-dyed fabric she captures the "tales" of a gold mining camp in Montana that boomed in the 19th century but has since become a ghost town.  Her artwork begins with documented photographs and is brought to life through the fabric.  On May 5th, about 30 people came to the show to listen to Joanne Alberda talk about her art work. Amazing what can be done with fabric and how it can reflect history.
